Wood Care Guide

Proper care ensures the beauty and longevity of your wooden products. Here’s how to keep them looking their best:

Daily Cleaning

Dust regularly using a soft, dry cloth or microfiber cloth.

Wipe spills immediately with a clean, damp (not wet) cloth.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, ammonia, or bleach – they can damage the finish.

Moisture & Humidity

Wood is sensitive to temperature and humidity.

Keep items away from direct heat sources, radiators, and sunlight, which can cause drying, warping, or fading.

Ideal indoor humidity: 40–60%.

Oiling & Conditioning (for untreated or oiled wood)

Use natural oils (like linseed or mineral oil) or wood conditioner every 3–6 months, or when the wood looks dry.

Apply a small amount with a soft cloth, rub in gently, and wipe off excess.

Surface Protection

Use coasters, mats, or felt pads to protect surfaces from scratches, heat, or water rings.

Avoid placing hot pots or pans directly on wooden surfaces.

Repairs & Maintenance

For light scratches: use a wood touch-up marker or rub with a walnut (yes, really – it works on light marks!).

For deeper damage, consult a professional or use furniture wax or scratch-repair kits.

Important Notes

Do not soak wooden products in water (e.g., utensils, cutting boards).

Avoid placing in the dishwasher unless the product is specifically marked as dishwasher-safe.

For outdoor wood products, use a UV-protective oil or sealant.
