Materials
Solid oak body with a durable birch plywood drawer box on soft-close runners.
Responsibly sourced oak — all our solid oak is FSC® certified, from forests managed to the highest environmental and social standards.
Oak is a natural material: grain, knots and tone vary between pieces and yours will not be identical to the photos. Screens also shift colour — if the exact shade matters, order the samples above.
Delivery & returns
Free delivery across the EU & UK, insured, in protective packaging. Production 2–3 business days, delivery 2–5 business days within the EU. Delivery to the USA is €160 per order.
30-day returns on stock sizes. Keep the original packaging; you arrange the return and cover the return shipping. Made-to-size pieces are excluded from returns but fully covered by the warranty.
2-year warranty against manufacturing defects; your statutory rights are unaffected.
Care
Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and chemical cleaners. The lacquer protects the surface — no oiling needed.

Crafted from solid oak with a clean, architectural profile, it offers a dedicated surface for your lamp, book, or morning essentials without encroaching on your bedroom floor space.
Installed via a concealed bracket system with no visible hardware, the Sakai achieves a true floating look that feels both intentional and refined. The surface is protected with a durable acrylic lacquer finish. The drawer is built from 12 mm birch plywood — a premium structural material that ensures lasting stability and smooth, quiet operation.

How high
Top level with the mattress, or up to 5 cm above it. Measure from the floor to the top of your mattress and subtract the height of the piece — that line is where its bottom edge sits. The template does the rest.

Solid oak
Solid oak responsibly sourced from Polish forests. Each piece carries its own grain pattern — a natural signature that makes every piece one of a kind.
18 mm, ±2 mm
18 mm solid oak elements finished with a matte acrylic lacquer for a refined, tactile surface. Precision-crafted to ±2 mm dimensional tolerance.
Two-year warranty

Materials that matter
Solid oak body and front, 18 mm, no veneer and no MDF. The one exception we state openly: the drawer box is birch plywood — lighter than oak, and it keeps the soft-close runners perfectly aligned for years.
Before you order
01Can I mount it on plasterboard?
Yes. Use hollow-wall anchors rated for at least 20 kg (not supplied), or screw into a stud if there is one behind. On a single 12.5 mm board we recommend the anchor route.
02Does it come assembled?
Fully. The drawer is fitted and the bracket is on the back. You only drill two holes.
03How high should I hang it?
Top level with the mattress, or up to 5 cm above it. Measure from the floor to the top of your mattress and subtract the height of the piece — that line is where its bottom edge sits.
04Is the drawer soft-close?
Yes. The birch plywood drawer box runs on soft-close slides — it pulls out smoothly and never slams shut. On the push-to-open models there is no handle: a light press opens the drawer. Which one this piece has is listed under Dimensions & specs above.
05Can I run a lamp or charger cable through it?
The stock version has no cut-out. A cable pass-through is available in the made-to-order configurator.
06Is the back finished, or is it meant only for a wall?
The back is solid oak and lacquered like the rest. Only the bracket plate is visible, and only if you look from below.
07I need another width, base or handle. Can you make it?
Yes — custom widths, a knob or leather pull, legs or a plinth instead of the bracket. Use the configurator; the price updates as you go and we confirm the quote before payment.
