Materials
Solid oak body and legs with durable birch plywood drawer boxes on soft-close runners.
Responsibly sourced oak — all our solid oak is FSC® certified, from forests managed to the highest environmental and social standards.
Oak is a natural material: grain, knots and tone vary between pieces and yours will not be identical to the photos. Screens also shift colour — if the exact shade matters, order the samples above.
Delivery & returns
Free delivery across the EU & UK, insured, in protective packaging. Production 2–3 business days, delivery 2–5 business days within the EU. Delivery to the USA is €160 per order.
30-day returns on stock sizes. Keep the original packaging; you arrange the return and cover the return shipping. Made-to-size pieces are excluded from returns but fully covered by the warranty.
2-year warranty against manufacturing defects; your statutory rights are unaffected.
Care
Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and chemical cleaners. The lacquer protects the surface — no oiling needed.

The Chiba bedside table combines the natural warmth of solid oak with a clean and practical minimalist design. Its simple geometric form, visible wood grain and light natural finish make it an elegant addition to modern, Scandinavian, Japandi and contemporary bedrooms.
The upper spacious drawer provides discreet storage for personal belongings, chargers and other bedside essentials. Below, a large open storage shelf offers easy access to books, magazines or decorative accessories. The handleless drawer front maintains the table’s streamlined and uncluttered appearance.
Designed as a freestanding, floor-standing bedside table, Chiba provides practical storage in a compact form. Its open construction creates a light visual effect, while the natural oak adds warmth and timeless character to the bedroom.

How high
Measure from the floor to the top of your mattress. These stand 40 cm, so they sit level with a low or platform bed and a little under a taller frame — close enough to keep a lamp, a glass and a book within reach. If your mattress top is much higher, we make the same piece to your height.

Solid oak
Solid oak responsibly sourced from Polish forests. Each piece carries its own grain pattern — a natural signature that makes every piece one of a kind.
18 mm, ±2 mm
18 mm solid oak elements finished with a matte acrylic lacquer for a refined, tactile surface. Precision-crafted to ±2 mm dimensional tolerance.
Two-year warranty
Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and chemical cleaners. Backed by a 2-year warranty for complete peace of mind.

Materials that matter
Solid oak body, front and legs, 18 mm, no veneer and no MDF. The one exception we state openly: the drawer boxes are birch plywood — lighter than oak, and it keeps the soft-close runners perfectly aligned for years.
Before you order
01Does it have to be fixed to the wall?
No. It stands on its own oak legs — no bracket, no drilling, nothing to anchor. Move it whenever you rearrange the room.
02Does it come assembled?
Yes. Everything is fitted — drawers, legs and felt pads. Unpack it and put it down.
03How high should a nightstand be?
Level with the top of your mattress, or up to 5 cm above it. These stand 40 cm, which suits a low or platform bed; measure from the floor to your mattress top, and if it sits much higher we make the same piece to your height.
04Is the drawer soft-close?
Yes. The birch plywood drawer box runs on soft-close slides — it pulls out smoothly and never slams shut. On the push-to-open models there is no handle: a light press opens the drawer. Which one this piece has is listed under Dimensions & specs above.
05Will it scratch my floor or move on a rug?
Felt pads are fitted under each leg — it slides on wood without marking it and stays put on a rug.
06Will the finish darken over time?
All oak warms slightly with light over the years; the lacquer slows this down. Natural changes the most, Black the least. Keep it out of direct sun to keep the day-one tone.
07I need another size or a different front. Can you make it?
Yes — custom widths, depths and heights, a fluted or flat front, one or two drawers, in all three finishes. Use the configurator; the price updates as you go and we confirm the quote before payment.
